Saint Petersburg Ballet Theatre’s 2014-2015 hectic touring season will have its finale at the Coliseum in London, an historic part of British theatre heritage and the home of the English National Opera. The final chord of this touring marathon will be broadcast to a sophisticated London audience in the form of a project entitled “Irina Kolesnikova Invites”.
From 17 to 23 August in the British capital’s largest theatre with more than 2300 seats, the entire company headed by its prima ballerina together with her star partners will perform “Swan Lake” and “La Bayadère”.
Londoners remember the company’s 2009 tour, indeed it was the British capital’s critics who forged the overseas reputation of this Saint Petersburg based ballet theatre with their flattering epithets bestowed upon the theatre’s prima ballerina Irina Kolesnikova.
